MY OCTOBER BIRCHBOX HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!

We all know that feeling of anticipation as we stalk the mailbox and USPS.com for days, impatiently awaiting the arrival of our monthly beauty box subscriptions. I just might be one of the worst! I am well aware that many of us have been overwhelmed with disappointment from time to time, as we do not receive the items we held high hopes of getting. We slowly open our box, as we silently whisper to ourselves "Please, please, please let me be one of the few who got the ...... this month", and then SPLAAAT, all our hopes have been crushed! You all know what I'm talking about!! I have to remind myself the reason why i signed up for the subscription in the first place. I love opening my beauty box and seeing those unfamiliar and foreign items. You know, the ones that you say, "What is that? It must be a ......., and it's for what.......ooooooh, I've been wanting to try that!". The unknown is a humble reminder that i don't know everything about beauty and the business is constantly changing. The fun in beauty box subscriptions is NOT knowing what you may receive and being totally excited when you get those boxes that "hit it out of the park". The months in-between are always a great way to stock up on items that would be perfect for travel or gifting. Now, let's move on to the more important issues. My October Birchbox has arrived!

This month was not my all-time favorite, but i was very pleased and will find a use for every item in my box. Each month, the box is personalized and created to meet your individual style and beauty preferences. Inside, you will also find an information card which gives a short description about each item in your box, how to use it, and the retail value. Changing your beauty profile on occasion is key to ensuring a variety of items: so you do not feel like you are always getting the same things in your box. My October Birchbox subscription included:

 *Coastal Scents*-Revealed Eyeshadow Palette Set. These nude and metallic shadows are just gorgeous and i apologize for the horrible picture as it does no justice! I couldn't be happier and am so excited to try these out. I currently own some Coastal Scents shadows and love the "trueness" of the shades and find that they have great staying power. *Vasanti Cosmetics*-Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator. The use and effects of the rejuvenator are similar to that of microdermabrasion. When you can't afford to go to the dermatologist or spa, just use this for a bright and glowing complexion. I look forward to trying this and seeing how it compares with one of my favorite at-home peels!

 *Camille Beckman*-Tuscan Honey Glycerine Hand Therapy. Just the name sounds fancy! The glycerine and botanicals in this hand cream make it a warrior against harsh weather and dry duds. With the Winter months creeping upon us, this will be excellent to keep moisture in and age out! There is nothing worse that dry, cracked, and irritated hands and the wear and tear can make them age faster. Ahhhh, that's the last thing us women want! Full-size retails for $13.95

 *Dr. Lipp*-Original Nipple Balm for Lips. When i first read the name of this i had to go back and make sure i read it correctly! Sure enough, this lip balm contains one of the leading ingredients used by nursing mothers, Lanolin. A great advantage this product has is its versatility. It can be used on not only your lips, but also cuticles and elbows! I love those beauty products that have multiple uses and are great for tossing in your bag. Full-size retails for $14.50

*TOCCA*-Eau de Parfum, Florence-I am so impressed with the size of this sample and instantly feel in love with the floral scent. The combination of bergamot, gardenia, and jasmine will have you discretely sniffing your wrists all day! Full-size retails for $68.







I am very pleased with the selection i received this month and will be counting down the days until my November box arrives! As always, all items arrived in a nicely packed, recyclable brown box, in excellent condition. I will be sure to post reviews and thoughts after i have an opportunity to explore new items.
