I have tried all types of masks, peels, exfoliates, and topical treatments to extract blackheads and reduce the size of my pores. I have that terrible oily, Italian skin with pores that you can see a mile away and it seems that no matter what extreme measures i take, i still haven't found a solution! Yesterday, thanks to my wonderful mother and Birchbox, i was able to try the Dr. Jart Pore Minimalist Black Charcoal Sheet Mask, and although it's a mouthful to say, it's as easy as 1,2,3 to apply!
1.)Open the pack (i don't suggest cutting the package as you may cut the mask accidentally)
2.) Remove the mask (which has a very moist, but not sticky residue)
3.) Apply to cleansed face and leave on for 15-20 minutes.
The mask itself is composed of charcoal and is smothered with all sorts of excellent, skin loving, ingredients like spearmint extract, activated charcoal, and arginine. This mask has several benefits like purifying your pores, removing sebum, detoxification, extracting those deep, stubborn pore clogging debris. After you remove the mask there is no need for re-cleansing your skin. All you have to do is massage any remaining serum into your skin! Although this mask was a little large for my small-framed face, it stayed in place and it even has little openings for your eyes, nose, and mouth. I looked extremely silly while wearing it but it felt absolutely fantastic!
I know things like this can take some time to show results but i am one of those extremely impatient people who expect things to happen immediately, as most women are! When i woke up this morning, i ran straight to the mirror with excitement (like a child on Christmas morning) to see how my new, improved face would appear. To my surprise, i actually noticed a difference! My pores are less visible and my pre-test, sleep deprived, stress attack, breakouts are less irritated and are noticeably reduced! I couldn't be more pleased and i will definitely be purchasing this in the future!! I give this mask a double thumbs up and would suggest it to anyone out there.
